Unicef UK crowned winners at Manifesto Big Charity Digital Pub Quiz

Unicef UK walked away with the prestigious winner’s trophy and £1,000 donation in prize money at the fourth Annual Big Charity Digital Pub Quiz hosted by London-based digital agency Manifesto.

The annual event has been a huge success since it was launched in 2014. This year 13 teams from a number of charities including Parkinson’s UK, NSPCC and The Royal British Legion gathered together at Exmouth Market Centre for an evening of British Sea-side themed food, drinks and serious competition.

Alzheimer’s UK clinched second place, winning a £400 donation for the charity. After a ‘rock, paper, scissors’ tiebreak, Cancer Research UK took third place with Malaria No More UK just missing out.

The quiz was made up of 40 questions spread over four rounds, ranging from board game trivia to a guess-the-song round which was performed by 2015 World Beatboxing Champion Bass6. In keeping with the sea-side theme, the food aficionados were tested on their knowledge of potato-based questions whilst snacking on Kennedy’s fish and chips, and the bonus round saw teams competing for the best selfie title.

The highlight of the evening was the hotly anticipated film round where Manifesto’s motion content team creatively enacted scenes from popular films such as Baywatch and Titanic shot on location at Southend beach.

Jim Bowes, CEO and Founder of Manifesto, comments: “Manifesto focuses on developing the digital skills that charities need in order to achieve more from their campaigns. The Annual Big Charity Digital Pub Quiz is a great way to bring our industry together to celebrate the amazing work they all do, while raising money for very worthy causes.”
