Simon Switches to Audi
Carlisle Audi has appointed Simon Barwick, 48, as their new Aftersales Manager. Simon has over 30 years’ experience with Volkswagen Group brands, starting at Hexham Volkswagen as an Apprentice Technician in April 1987, before becoming Workshop Controller and finally Service Manager at the dealership. Simon then became Aftersales Manager at Volkswagen in Newcastle and latterly Carlisle Volkswagen. Simon explained, “I loved Volkswagen, but after 30 years I felt it was time to take on the challenge of a new brand and Audi seemed to be the logical next step. I liked the fact that Swansway Motor Group, which owns Carlisle Audi is family-owned and doesn’t have layers and layers of management, I knew I’d be able to speak to a family member if ever I needed to and I like that.” Simon lives in the beautiful little town of Haltwhistle, which has the claim to fame of being at the geographical centre of Britain! Simon likes to go running in the beautiful countryside and competes in 10k races and half marathons regularly. When he’s not working or running he has his hands full with twin 16 year old daughters!
