Young entrepreneur’s North London video agency closes six-figure crowdfund

A digital-first video agency in North London has secured a six-figure investment just two years after launching.

Founded in 2016 by 23-year-old entrepreneur Rupert Rixon, Perspective Pictures is looking to ramp up capacity and drive sales with £150k generated through a crowdfunding campaign.

Rupert, who set up the business with £50 in his bank account, said: “2018 has been an incredible year for us so far, which is testament to the fantastic team we’re building here at Perspective Pictures.

“The funding will allow us to increase our capacity, boost sales and continue to produce the best videos possible.”

Perspective Pictures is also celebrating a raft of client wins, including a brief to produce videos for engineering giant Rolls-Royce’s online campaign with the Royal Air Force, and work with stand-up paddle board retailer BlueFin.

Rupert continued: “It’s massively exciting to be working with some of the most prestigious and innovative brands in the world.

“To think just a little more than two years ago we were working from a shed in my parents’ back garden; now we’re producing top quality digital-first video for clients across the world.”

Perspective Pictures is based in Islington. Having started out as a YouTube channel created by Rupert when he was 16, the company now employs a team of eight.

Its services include the production of digital ads, documentaries, music videos, crowdfunding films, 360 videos and commercial promos.

Perspective Pictures has already worked with a number of international brands, including Google, Sony, UFC, Island Records and Brewdog.
