Northern expansion for residential management firm backed by former Dragon

A London-based residential management company backed by entrepreneur Faisal Butt and former Dragons’ Den investor James Caan is expanding in the North.

POD Management will introduce its home management system to Fabrick, a scheme of 184 micro-apartments in Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester, through a deal with property firm Inspired Homes.

The company will aim to provide residents with round-the-clock support, local community engagement and an online neighbours’ forum via its myPod platform.

Fabrick’s living space is optimised with a hallway-free design to put homes within reach of first-time buyers.

The development will also feature shared social spaces, including a reception area created by POD, a rooftop terrace and a club lounge designed to serve as a co-working area in the day and a venue for music or events at night.

Pod Management’s founder and CEO, David Goldberg, said: “Manchester has become a hotspot for UK and overseas investment.

“This, combined with its rich cultural heritage makes the city a key target for us too, as we grow the business. With a desire to create enviable homes, Inspired Homes is a developer with a similar mindset to our own, making Fabrick a perfect vehicle to launch POD in Manchester.”

Martin Skinner, founder and chief exec of Inspired Homes, commented: “We look forward to working with POD and were excited by their proposal, which we thought would provide the best experience for our residents.

“Like POD, Fabrick is our first development in Greater Manchester so we want to make a good impression and raise our brand profile for future schemes in the region.”
