Manufacturer Delivers Complex Injection Moulding Technique

One of the UK’s leading manufacturers of bespoke plastic products has secured – and has already successfully delivered - a contract to manufacture and deliver a complex plastic mould injection product for the world’s leading producer of children’s yogurts.

Great Central Plastics, based in Northamptonshire, has manufactured feeding spoons for Yoplaits’ Petits Filous, which involved an intricate two shot mould production, something which only a handful of manufacturers in the UK have the capabilities to do.

Awarded to Great Central Plastics based on its capability to deliver the multifaceted production process, Petit Filous yogurts is recognised as the world leading yogurt for children across the globe.

Great Central Plastics - founded in 1998 - has built a solid reputation for delivering plastic injection moulding services to the promotional and industrial markets – and to date has manufactured well in excess of 80,000 moulded units.

The Petits Filous purple feeding spoon features a unique and eye catching white inlay, which - to achieve - required a second injected shot into the mould unit. The well-known yogurt name is then featured in purple on the white inlay.

Speaking about the contract win and its successful delivery, Rowan Wilson, Sales Manager at Great Central Plastics said: “We are delighted to have successfully delivered a complex project of this nature and scale to such a high-profile and globally recognised brand as Petits Filous.

Manufactured from the company’s 10,500² ft manufacturing facility the company managed to turn the multipart order around in less than five weeks, with the feeding spoons being delivered to the client on time and on budget.
