Medlock FRB fits out new restaurant and bar near the Cavern Club
A new restaurant and bar has opened opposite the iconic Cavern Club in Liverpool after a fit-out by leisure sector contractor Medlock FRB.
Festival Food & Drink Grill is a 145-cover venue which has been developed at a cost of over £1m in a joint venture between the Cavern Club and the Bem Brasil restaurant chain.
The previously vacant building has been structurally reconfigured and converted into a BBQ and grill casual dining venue over three floors. Medlock carried out the fit-out over a 12-week period.
Festival Food & Drink Grill fuses Brazilian tastes and rhythms with a blend of Liverpool’s famous music history in a colourful and relaxed atmosphere.
The interior designer for the scheme was JSA Design, based in Warrington.
Chris Addy, senior project manager for Medlock, said: “We are proud to have delivered this project for our client, which we hope will further enhance the experience for visitors to the world-famous Mathew Street, home of the iconic Cavern Club.
“The scheme was delivered on time and we wish the new owners every success.”
Medlock’s growing client base of independent bar and restaurant operators includes Arc Inspirations, Lucia Restaurants and MAD Group.
