Barratt in Exeter supports apprenticeships with marketing appointment
Five star housebuilder Barratt Developments has appointed its first marketing apprentice in Exeter as part of expansion plans in the south west.
Barney Munn has joined the Exeter-based team which looks after Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes in the region.
18 year old Barney has just left Exeter College and said he was really keen to secure an apprenticeship rather than opt for university.
“I was really interested in media and business and wanted to move into something where there was practical experience and I could have an influence on the business and customers,” said Barney who lives in nearby Cullompton.
His role will include a wide range of marketing disciplines with a focus on digital activity for the housebuilder which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. He will spend four days a week in the business and a fifth studying for his NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Marketing.
Barratt Exeter’s marketing manager Alex Jones said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for Barney and we’re delighted to welcome him to the team. As a high performing business we’re keen to work with people like Barney who are looking to develop a career in a challenging and rapidly developing industry.”
