Claudio appointed to oversee new Wiltshire development

Award-winning site manager Claudio Viveiros has been appointed to oversee construction at David Wilson Homes’ new Weston Meadow development in Calne.

Claudio has been named as one of the best site managers in the country, having won a prestigious Pride in the Job award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) for his work on other David Wilson Homes developments.

Claudio will oversee construction at the site, working closely with all those involved in the process – including subcontractors and suppliers. He has played a key role within the industry for 23 years and says that seeing the homes take shape is one of his favourite parts of the role.

“Watching it all come together is a real highlight,” he says. “I take a lot of pride in the job and I like seeing everything complete at the end of the process.”

Working at Weston Meadow brings back memories for Claudio, who used to live in Calne before moving to nearby Melksham around three years ago. He said: “It’s a really good place to live, you can see why people want to move here and why there’s demand for new homes. There are lots of community events which brings people together.”

Claudio says that progress at Weston Meadow is coming along well, with many of the foundations in and the show home taking shape. Prices for the homes have just been released and several are now available to buy off-plan.

David Wilson Homes’ sales director Louise Ware said: “We think very carefully when appointing site managers for our new developments because they are crucial to the success of these important new communities.

“Claudio has the skills and experience to deliver homes of the quality our buyers have come to expect from us. I look forward to watching this impressive new development take shape over the coming months.”

Once complete, Weston Meadow will feature 83 three and four bedroom homes. The development has been named after a pair of local WWI heroes. Husband and wife Walter and Ada Weston both served in WWI and survived, and their name has been honoured in the naming of the development.
