New Castlegate business centre opens in Stockton with £30k investment
Ellandi LLP - an investment management company for 30 of the UK’s major shopping centres - is working to redevelop the archetypal shopping centre model.
Part of that development work, has seen the redeveloped space above Castlegate Shopping Centre transformed into office accommodation.
Karen Eve, centre manager of Castlegate Shopping Centre, said: “Our business offering brings a new dimension for businesses in the town centre and suits the growing number of independent and freelance operators, whilst also meeting the business needs of small to medium enterprises, with one to fifty employees.”
Phase one is to see the development of 16 flexible office spaces with an investment of £30k.
The first phase showcases the development of Walker House, situated above Castlegate Shopping Centre, which now houses The White Box Office Collection office space, in the newly named Castlegate Business Centre.
Eve added: “As a trusted landlord, Castlegate Business Centre intends to bring businesses into the town centre and is ideal for independent businesses or those from larger businesses in the wider area who need a central location with flexible terms.
“It makes sense to realise the potential of Castlegate Shoping Centre and to invest in a professional services offering right on the high street. For retail locations to grow they need to be combined with essential civic services and wider business amenities.”
The creative business space offers a contemporary design suitable for hot desking, or offices for one to six people, as well as bespoke space.
Affordable rental options are available from £150 per month for a two desk office, shared kitchen facility, access to a meeting room, super-fast fibre broadband, heating, lighting and 24 hour on-site security.
There are over 800 parking spaces and permits for tenants are also available.
