Yorkshire bathroom retailer establishes partnership with Huddersfield Giants Community Trust
A Yorkshire bathroom retailer has established an ongoing partnership with Huddersfield Giants Community Trust.
Already a sponsor of the Huddersfield Giants, and with a showroom based on St. John’s Road in the town centre, Easy Bathrooms has chosen the not-for-profit organisation as its charity partner for the foreseeable future.
The partnership is announced ahead of the rebrand of what is currently Huddersfield Community Trust, to Huddersfield Giants Community Trust (HGCT) – which will see the organisation become the official charity of the Huddersfield Giants.
The Trust is based at indoor facility and play gym, The Zone – which was established by Giants’ owner and businessman Ken Davy in 2006. Alongside the rebranding of HGCT, The Zone is also in the process of getting a fresh new look.
Through a combination of fundraising efforts and donations – in the form of bathroom voucher giveaways – Easy Bathrooms is set to help boost awareness of the newly-branded organisation within the community, while also raising money for its day-to-day operations.
With an aim of improving community cohesion, fitness and wellbeing of the people of Kirklees, Huddersfield Giants Community Trust has a particular focus on sport and educational activities.
Earlier this summer, Easy Bathrooms donated a series of bathroom vouchers for the organisation to give away on social media – helping to increase awareness and engagement with the charity, within the local area.
A second fundraiser is now underway at the firm’s showroom – where participants can guess how many rugby balls are in a bath – for a chance to win tickets to an upcoming Huddersfield Giants game, as well as a signed shirt.
Commenting on the partnership, Easy Bathrooms’ operations manager Lauren Fealy said: “Huddersfield Giants Community Trust was first brought to our attention when we became Giants’ sponsors last year. We visited the charity and learned about what they do within the community – and we knew straight away that we wanted to partner with them.
“But rather than simply providing donations, we realised that we could do much more by supporting the trust in other ways too, such as joint awareness campaigns, which help to educate people about how they can get involved with the charity. We’re excited to strengthen our partnership well into the future, and we’re looking forward to seeing the rebrand come to life very soon.”
Easy Bathrooms also sponsors the newly-formed Huddersfield Giants Community under 19’s women’s team.
Commenting on the partnership, Lisa Darwin, CEO of Huddersfield Giants Community Trust said: “We feel very fortunate to be in a position where we can build on our partnerships with the support of our new branding. It is exciting for us to be aligned with a company that already has great relations with Huddersfield Giants and is so keen to work with us to promote the charity and all the good work it does within the community. We’re passionate about leaving a positive impact with everyone we meet, and we know that by working together with Easy Bathrooms, we can do this through some exciting joint campaigns.
“Our new branding has been designed to support us in making more connections, more easily, and we are incredibly excited to continue working closely with Easy Bathrooms as we create some really unique fundraising opportunities that benefit both businesses and members of the local community.”
Rugby fans have the chance to take part in the in-store fundraiser until Monday 27th August, and the winner will be announced via Easy Bathrooms’ Facebook page on Tuesday 28th August.
