Acquisition unites talent agencies behind some of rugby’s biggest stars

Sports management and marketing agency International Sports Consulting (ISC) has acquired fellow agency Independent Sports Group (ISG).

The deal represents a boost for London-based ISC’s rugby talent division, as England stars including Joe Cokanasiga and Jordan Olowofela are on the acquired firm’s books.

Both will now be managed by ISC team that looks after fellow England internationals Freddie Burns and Elliott Stooke, as well as Scotland’s Chris Harris, USA’s Samu Manoa and Australia’s Billy Meakes.

Nick Robinson, managing director of ISC, said: “We’re excited to welcome Billy Clark and the outstanding ISG talent he represents into the ISC family.

“Our philosophy of working with a small group of high profile clients and providing the highest quality of service is aligned to Billy’s vision and will allow us to further grow without veering from our core values and culture.”

England star Joe Cokanasiga, who also plays for rugby union side Bath, said: “ISC have a great reputation for the way they support and manage their players, so I’m excited to join the ISC team.”

Other big names on ISC’s client list include Olympic weightlifter Zoe Smith and Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman (currently on loan to Leeds United).

ISG’s Billy Clark commented: “I’m delighted to be joining up with ISC. They have an established reputation for exceptional client management across a range of sports as well as brokering some of the highest profile transfers in rugby and football over recent years.

“The link-up with ISC will allow us to offer market leading commercial support for our growing client list as they make further strides in international rugby.”
