Local entrepreneur launches the latest in 'all-natural' beauty with new collection

Moonstone, a brand new makeup range in the region, has been launched by local entrepreneur Anna Stonehouse.

The mineral-based cosmetics have been formulated, created and tested in the region and is set to expand nationally.

The range is manufactured in Allendale, Northumberland, where salon owner Anna is located. With mineral makeup becoming a popular alternative to chemical-based products, Anna believed it was the ideal time to launch the Moonstone range.

In 2011, Anna opened Natural Beauty - her own salon in the heart of Allendale. The company offers various services, including waxing, massaging, tanning and beauty therapy.

Anna said: “There is no better feeling than creating something unique that you are passionate about.

“I have been lucky enough to get the opportunity to create my own makeup and I hope everyone loves all the products as much as I do. I am very excited for future of the Moonstone brand.

“I have always had a passion for makeup - I love the different colours you can create. One of the main reasons I decided to create mineral makeup is because of how well the colours blend and how natural it makes the skin look.

“My favourite part in makeup is creating the different eyeshadow palettes because of how rich and vibrant the colours are.”

After working with makeup for a number of years, Anna developed a passion in creating her own products and designing makeup to benefit different skin types and shades.

Anna has completed courses and classes to become a certified professional makeup expert and is preparing for her next venture into the cosmetics industry.

The mineral-based makeup is manufactured using natural ingredients including products such as foundation, blusher, bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadows and lip balms.

The main objective of the brand is to be recognised as a luxury collection at an affordable price. The brand is set to launch next month, in September, where it will be available to purchase on the Moonstone Cosmetics website.
