Newcastle University secures greenlight for new £50m learning hub
Plans have been approved for a new multi-million pound teaching and learning hub at Newcastle University.
The £50m building, designed by city-based firm GSSArchitecture, will be located adjacent to the university’s Sports Hall and new Park View Student Residences.
Once complete, the site will house cutting-edge teaching and learning facilities for various academic programmes.

It will create new seminar rooms and lecture theatres for use by the wider university, along with more specialist spaces and offices for the Schools of Psychology and Sport, Exercise and Nutritional Sciences.
Construction work is due to start next month.
