New Construction partnership created to develop Homes in County Durham.
Tolent Living are pleased to announce the signing of their latest contact, to create a new partnership with Cheviot Holdings Ltd to bring new homes to County Durham.
In the first project together, the company has been awarded a £10 million contract to build 73 new executive homes at Lingey House Farm, Sacriston. This development is an exciting milestone for Cheviot Holdings, as this will be the first of a series of new home sites that are planned to be delivered across the North East.
The project is supported by grant funding from Homes England, and will offer a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom modern homes. Tolent Living is a subsidiary of established North East contractor Tolent Construction, and bring their wealth of residential experience to the relationship. The programme of works will see construction commence in September 2018, with completion expected in May 2021.
Cheviot Holdings Ltd anticipate that the significant investment into the Sacriston development will deliver additional benefit to the community. By investing in the local economy, the project will provide employment and training opportunities for the people of Durham and importantly will use predominantly locally sourced materials.
Philip Evans, Director of Cheviot Holdings Ltd said: “We are delighted to announce Tolent Living as our partner of choice for this strategically important development, being our first in the North East. They have clearly demonstrated to us the skills and expertise, coupled with the essential credentials needed to deliver this scheme with outstanding levels of health and safety.” Paul Webster, Chief Operating Officer at Tolent added:
“Tolent are delighted to sign the contract with Cheviot Holdings Ltd, and formally recognise a new client relationship. We are proud that they have chosen us as their preferred contractor and believe that we can bring our wealth of residential new build experience to the project. While we have been working on the pre-construction activity for some time, Tolent are looking forward to starting to build on site in September.”
