Charity lottery players and The Lady of the North join forces this September

Players of People’s Postcode Lottery and the iconic Lady of the North will be joining forces this September to ensure members of the public have a wild old time. Following the enormous success of the past three Our Wildlife festivals which began in 2015, Northumberland Wildlife Trust is set to host the fourth Our Wildlife 2017 event at Northumberlandia aka The Lady of the North on Sunday 16 September, between 10.00am - 4.00pm. The day has all been made possible, yet again, thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery and with free entry and the majority of activities being free, there really is something to suit people of all ages. This year’s activities are divided into two categories - wellbeing and wildlife and range from three mindfulness and three tai chi sessions, one boot camp session and a healthy guide walk around the reserve to bird box making, mini beast hunting, landscape trails and green pledges in the woodland. Speaking about the event, Lynette Friend, Northumberland Wildlife Trust Events Coordinator says: “It is the fourth year players of People’s Postcode Lottery have supported the Our Wildlife festivals. Because of the support, we are able to offer people the opportunity to try things which they may not have tried before, so, if you’ve never tried tai chi or want to find out more about mindfulness techniques, here’s your chance to do it free of charge.” To find our more visit www.nwt.org.uk/ourwildlife
