Splash the cash for colour dash
Staff from CoolKit enjoyed a splash of colour at this year’s Burnley Colour Dash.
The event, held in Burnley’s Thompson Park, saw the staff get showered in colourful paints as they walked, jogged, skipped and ran through the various colour blast stations.
The women, who all work at the Burnley-based refrigeration conversion specialist, completed two 2.5km laps of Thompson’s Park and Bank Hall, to raise money for Pendleside Hospice.
Loredana Emmerson, Marketing Manager at CoolKit, said: “Pendleside Hospice is a charity close to our hearts, and it is a big part of Burnley.
“We had a great time on the day, and lots of fun while raising money for a great cause. So far we have raised over £200, but are hoping to get nearer to our £500 target.”
Money raised will help to provide care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families living in Burnley and Pendle.
The hospice provides care on their inpatient unit, day services, an outpatient department and care in a person’s own home. Other services include complementary therapies, psychological support, family support, bereavement support, rehabilitation and spiritual care.
