Work Completes On New Homes Development In Rothwell
WORK is complete on an exclusive new homes development in Rothwell which is so popular with local families that only one, four-bedroom detached, home is still available for sale.
Lay Garth Glade has been developed by Leeds based Advent Developments and has seen a landmark Victorian building, known as Glenald on Carlton Lane in Rothwell’s conservation area, comprehensively refurbished into two spacious semi-detached homes, with three exceptional detached houses built within the building’s walled grounds.
The final home for sale at the development will be ready to move into during September and offers an extensive living area, covering almost 2,000 sq ft, plus a double integral garage with electric doors. Two of the property’s four double bedrooms are en-suite and the master also boasts a luxurious dressing area.
The home offers an impressive open plan family room and dining kitchen, complete with a full range of integrated appliances and bi-folding doors opening onto the spacious landscaped rear gardens. There’s also a separate living room with a large bay window, utility room and downstairs WC.
The development is being marketed by local estate agent Your Move, which is based on Commercial Street in Rothwell. Irene Scurrah from the firm said: “We’ve had a huge amount of interest in Lay Garth Glade with four of the homes selling before work even completed. This final property won’t be available for long because it really is a wonderful family home with a superb specification and it offers a vast amount of living space. It also has lovely gardens and driveway parking in a quiet and leafy walled environment just a short walk from Rothwell town centre.”
Tim Reeve, from Advent Developments, said: “We’re delighted to complete Lay Garth Glade and Glenald, which is a beautiful arts and crafts style building and a Rothwell landmark, but it had fallen into a state of disrepair. This development has given it a new lease of life, as well as creating a fantastic selection of high quality and much needed new family homes in this part of Rothwell.
“To have just one home still for sale speaks volumes about the overall quality of the development and we’ve been overwhelmed by the positive feedback that we’ve received from the local community.”
Lay Garth Glade is Advent’s second scheme in Rothwell. In 2016 the multi-award winning development company transformed the Grade II listed former Rothwell Primary and Nursery School into 14 unique two, three, four and five bedroom homes, known as Carlton Green. Advent also recently completed work on Greenhill Fold, which is an £8 million village development consisting of 49 high quality homes in Upper Wortley.
