Financial firm boosts charity’s fundraising ball

FINANCIAL planning company AYP Financial has added to the success of this year’s Calvert Ball.

AYP Financial Planning will sponsor the room décor at Calvert Trust Kielder’s 10th annual Ball at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead which will see guests enjoying dinner, live music from popular band Livewire and lively chat from compere for the evening Joshua Riffe.

AYP Financial Planning founder Kim Alexandra, is thrilled to be able to support the charity.

“We are based in Hexham and are proud of our commitment to supporting the local community, charities and causes. Calvert Trust Kielder is not only on our doorstep, it is also a fantastic charity and one which many of our clients are aware of and support. We’re very proud to be sponsoring a charity which makes such a huge positive difference to so many people’s lives.”

AYP Financial Planning joins Bishopwearmouth Co-operative and Alternative Bouquets and Gifts who are sponsoring the table centres and decorations. Also pledging support and donations for this year’s Ball are Perro Design & Communications, Nitelites, Hilton Newcastle Gateshead and Robson Print.

Calvert Trust Kielder is respected globally as a registered charity which enables disabled people to achieve their potential through the challenge of outdoor adventure. Fundraiser Charlotte Crumbley is delighted with the support of AYP Financial Planning and so many of the region’s businesses.

She said: “The Calvert Ball is a very important fundraiser for us. In the last ten years, it has raised more than £264,000 which has allowed us to create some truly life-changing experiences for thousands of disabled people, their families and friends.

“It is also the chance for a great night out with family, friends and work colleagues while knowing you are supporting positive experiences for the thousands of guests who visit Calvert Trust Kielder every year.

“I am absolutely confident this year’s Ball will be another brilliant night out and fundraising event for us.”

The Ball will be packed full of fun, food, and dancing. Guests at this year’s event also have the opportunity to take home fantastic prizes in the prize draw, silent auction and fundraising challenge.

Top auction and prize draw gifts include afternoon tea at the Marriot, Gosforth, a two-night stay at Hesleyside Huts and tickets for Theatre Royal, Newcastle.
