Key Appointment Places RHCV in the Driving Seat
Following the successful acquisition of its Northampton site, East Midlands Renault Truck dealer, RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) has appointed a new Dealer Point Manager to bolster the site’s strategic growth plans.
Rachel Payne joins the Northampton team with more than nine years’ experience, managing and leading dealerships across the East Midlands and in London, including working for multi-national operators, Pendragon PLC and Jaguar Land Rover.
With a head office in Nottingham and further sites in Leicester, Alfreton and Northampton, Rachel’s appointment comes at an important time of growth and expansion for the RHCV team. Earlier this year, RHCV acquired the Northampton branch from Renault Trucks Commercials, as part of plans to widen its reach to customers in the area, while complementing the existing strategically placed dealerships along the busy M1 corridor.
Now, heading up the Northampton dealership of RHCV, Rachel will use her previous experience to build and grow solid customer relationships and introduce new processes, which will both streamline and improve employee and customer experience.
Rachel will also be pivotal to the expansion and renovation plans at the site, which RHCV is looking to implement gradually, starting with the refurbishment of the main building including redecorating next month.
Rachel said: “RHCV’s enthusiasm and dedication to not only developing the business but to going the extra mile for its clients appealed to me instantly. Here, the customer is never just a number – the team is always attentive and wants everyone to feel welcomed and at ease.
“RHCV has a very exciting future ahead and it is fantastic that I will not only be apart of that but will have a pivotal role to play in helping to drive growth across both Northampton and the East Midlands.”
With a turnover in 2017 of almost £30m, RHCV has gone from strength to strength through the successful delivery of a very clear sales strategy and a determined management team. The approach has provided a steady increase in new and used truck sales, workshop and parts delivery alongside a strong and flexible contract hire and truck and van rental offer working closely, listening to and responding to customer needs.
Nigel Baxter, Managing Director at RHCV added: “We have had a tremendous 12 months at RHCV and as a result, we have been required to both promote internally and recruit a number of new employees.
“It is a very exciting time for the Northampton site at the moment and Rachel’s appointment will ensure that we are continuing to maintain and establish strong customer relationships through our first-class service, while implementing our strategic plans to bolster further growth in the area.”
