A wild time was had by all
Hundreds of people headed to Northumberlandia recently to join Northumberland Wildlife Trust at its Our Wildlife 2018.
Now in its fourth year running, the one-day charity event, held under the watchful eye of the Lady of the North, was packed full of activities designed to connect everybody to nature.
With activities, ranging from mindfulness and tai chi workshops to nature trails, minibeast safaris, bird box and headdress making there was something for everybody to enjoy.
The free event was supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery and, thanks to their support, many people found new ways to connect with nature which they may never have thought of prior to the event.
Speaking at the event, Lynette Friend, Northumberland Wildlife Trust’s Events Officer who organised the event said: “After a drizzly start the sun came out so people were able to take advantage of all we had to offer.
“There was a great atmosphere with many people saying they would come and visit the site again, which is even better.”
