PHMG raises £21,000 for charity
Audio branding specialist PHMG has raised £21,000 since the start of the year for its charitable fund the PHMG Foundation, supporting a range of charities from its Manchester and Chicago offices.
Since its launch in 2013, the PHMG Foundation has donated almost £300,000 to charity with a running total to date of £295,000.
Setting an ambitious fundraising target of £100,000 for 2018, the PHMG board has pledged an annual donation of £50,000 if employees raise the same amount over 12 months.
Activity this year has included the Three Peaks Challenge, the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride, the middle-distance triathlon EpicMan in Lancashire and a charity golf day at Mottram Hall.
“We’re very proud of the £21,000 our teams in Manchester and Chicago have raised so far this year,” said Chris Berisford, Finance Director at PHMG and PHMG Foundation Trustee.
“The selected activities have highlighted that we have a number of athletes and sporting fans within the business and our teams are increasingly creative and daring with how they raise money.
“Our Chicago colleagues have matched the energy and commitment of our Manchester offices skydiving from a height of 14,000 feet and taking part in the Night Nation Run, the world’s first running music festival, to support our chosen charities. The PHMG Foundation has gone from strength to strength and the last few months in particular, have been hugely successful.
“The challenge for staff now is whether they will not only exceed their target of £50,000 by the end of this year, but also whether they will beat last year’s record total of £114,000.”
The PHMG Foundation is fundraising for four charities in 2018 supporting children, people in crisis and local communities through the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Action for Children and SOS Children’s Village Illinois.
PHMG is the world’s largest audio branding agency with more than 32,000 clients in 39 countries worldwide, including Coca-Cola, Audi and Adidas.
