Major investment in Bannatyne Weybridge health club

The Bannatyne Group has invested £600,000 in its health club in Weybridge. The former Weybridge Health Club & Spa was acquired by the Bannatyne Group in June 2017.

The project included work on the changing facilities and showers, gym floor and café bar.

The gym floor has been totally revamped with state of the art Artis Technogym equipment and a functional training area.

The centre piece of the functional training area is the Technogym Omnia Rig, which is designed to maximise members’ interaction allowing multiple users to work together to improve their strength, endurance, stability, flexibility, coordination and speed.

Technology to support members reaching their fitness goals has been fitted including smartphone-connected equipment, which allows members to track their progress through the Bannatyne App. New screens, which connect to MYZONE heart rate monitoring belts, enable members to see in real-time how hard they are pushing themselves.

Members also benefit from the B:360 wristband, which enables them to access the health club facilities, use the lockers, engage with MyWellness and enjoy the simplicity of contactless payment.

The Bannatyne café bar offers members and guests Starbucks coffee and a range of healthy meals and snacks in comfortable and relaxing surroundings.

Further investment in the club is expected to be announced over the next couple of months.

Justin Musgrove, Chief Executive of The Bannatyne Group, said: “When we acquired the health club we committed to members that we would bring equipment and facilities that are of the highest standard to help them achieve their fitness, health and wellbeing goals more effectively, and we are delivering on this.

“We have invested across the health club, in the very latest Artis Technogym equipment, revamping the changing rooms and showers to a very high standard and installing a Café Bar, which provides customers with a relaxing area to enjoy a snack, meal or a cup of Starbucks coffee.

“The club has fitted perfectly into our family of health clubs and members are enjoying the benefits of being part of the Bannatyne Group.”
