Deal signed on ‘spectacular’ waterside Gin Works in King’s Cross
Drinks business Chapel Down Group plc is establishing a gin-focused venue in King’s Cross.
The company confirmed this morning (September 27) it has exchanged on an agreement to lease a 5,000 sq ft space for the venture near the Regent’s Canal.
Chapel Down Gin Works will be an experiential bar, restaurant and ginnery, located a short drive from the firm’s new brewery in Ashford and its winery and vineyards at Tenterden.
Completion of the lease, Chapel Down said, is subject to securing the necessary licensing and planning approvals.
Group chief exec Frazer Thompson commented: “We’ve had an amazing response to our new Chapel Down gin.
“This new site in King’s Cross is a spectacular setting and we are delighted that we’ve been able to work with estate owner King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership to enable us to create an iconic and exciting waterside venue and gin works that will celebrate the very best English food and drink.”
