SysGroup CEO recognised as one of North West's brightest business talents

Adam Binks, CEO of one of the UK’s fastest-growing managed IT services and cloud hosting providers, SysGroup PLC (‘SysGroup’), has been named in the prestigious North West 42 under 42.

Insider’s listing has been compiled annually for more than 25 years, made up of some of the most prolific and renowned names in business. Previous names have included football agent Peter Kenyon and Redrow founder, Steve Morgan CBE.

Having been appointed as CEO earlier this year, Adam was recongised by the judges for his leadership in taking the company through a period of impressive growth, resulting in a 46 per cent uplift in revenue to £10.5m for the year ending March 2018.

This growth was underpinned by the strategic acquisition of Rockford IT in late 2017, followed by a three year £1m contract win with Home Bargains (T.J. Morris Limited) and significant investment in sales and marketing functions to help organic growth in coming years. Adam has also led the company to a 168 per cent increase in headcount in the last two years, with plans in place to grow that further in coming months.

Adam, who joined SysGroup in 2014 as COO, has extensive experience in the managed IT, hosting and telecoms sectors, including playing a pivotal role in the transformation of SysGroup’s shift to the managed services provider it is today. Adam has previously held a number of senior management & board level positions. Prior to joining SysGroup, Adam was Sales and Technical Director at managed hosting and connectivity provider, Vispa Ltd.
