Local energy firm ranked among the UK’s top performers
Stockton-based energy firm px group has broken into a league table of the top performing firms in the UK after doubling its profits in just three years.
The company is placed 235th in a list of the 250 British, private mid-market companies with the most impressive sales, due to be published this weekend by the Sunday Times.
Ahead of the table’s publication, px group CEO Mark Kenrick said: “It is tremendous to have received this recognition for all of the hard work put in by everyone at px and for the support we have received from our shareholders.
“We have enjoyed significant growth over recent years as we have expanded and diversified our business, all of which provides us with firm foundations on which to build further growth.”
Established in 2002, px group operates major gas processing plants and pipeline operations across the UK. Its listing in the 14th annual Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 comes after a period of significant growth, with sales rising from £80m to £136m in just three years, generating profits of almost £5m.
As well as energy management, px group also provides engineering and industrial infrastructure services and employs more than 500 people.
