On Track for Digital Growth
Leading digital marketing agency, Adtrak has announced plans to double its profit within the next 12 months at the start of the biggest change to the business in its 21-year history.
Managing Director Chris Robinson set out the ambitious plans for growth at its recent AGM held at the Broadway in Nottingham – in front of its 120 strong team.
Established in 1997, Adtrak now has a turnover of £7.7m and is a recognised Google Premier Partner, providing digital marketing services to clients across the UK and internationally.
Adtrak has continued to enjoy growth in both turnover and employee numbers. The turnover increased by 11.5 per cent last year and Adtrak welcomed 17 new faces to the team.
Adtrak was founded by Chris Robinson and Alex Lavender initially specialising in the creation of directory adverts. In 1999, they moved into an office in Stoney Street and hired their first employee. Since then, Adtrak has enjoyed rapid and sustained growth. It launched a web design service in 2005 and from then, has grown to become a full-service agency - offering every aspect of digital marketing including SEO, PPC (pay per click), graphic design, copywriting, photography, video and social media.
Adtrak has experienced tremendous growth and development over the past 21 years. Having employed just nine people in 2007, it reached 50 members of staff in 2012 and 100 members of staff in 2016.
Adtrak’s commitment to evolution will see further investment in new technology to streamline its customer reporting and management and support its expanding sales team and expansion in a rapidly growing digital market place.
Chris comments “We continue to see huge growth in the market for digital services and want to ensure we continue to stay at the forefront. Our PPC service has specifically seen the largest jump in demand but we’re in a fast-moving sector, with a huge number of technological changes. This includes things like Google Voice search which has seen a surge in popularity recently, thanks to mobiles and home assistants like Google Home and the Amazon Echo. As a result, it’s essential that businesses are catering to customers, using voice capabilities to search, interact with and even buy from websites.
“According to Google, 20 per cent of all Google searches are completed by voice. Organisations need to stay ahead of the digital marketing game and websites should be designed with voice integration, to accommodate the users of the very near future.”
As well as using the latest software and tracking technology to supports its own operations, Adtrak is investing further in its own team, introducing a bonus scheme to staff for the first time to reward hard work and innovation.
At the beginning of 2018, Chris signed up Adtrak’s very first American clients. The relationship with the USA began when Easy Mix, a concrete company in the USA, discovered the successful results Adtrak were delivering for an Easy Mix client they have in the UK.
Since then, Chris has engaged with a number of American businesses interested in using Adtrak’s services and is currently back out in America where he hopes to welcome a few more to Adtrak.
So 2018 and beyond will continue to be a period of innovation.
