Sheffield's Über agency acquires integrated firm Public Image
Sheffield advertising agency, Über has acquired the Doncaster-based integrated agency, Public Image.
The move is said to enforce Über’s ‘Best outside of London’ position, and will bolster its business-to-business capabilities.
Founded in 2003, the acquisition will see Über’s team expand as Public Image’s staff - including managing director Paul Green - relocate to the agency’s base in Park Hill.
Following a re-brand earlier in the year, the move underpins a broader agency growth strategy for Über. While creativity will continue to be its ‘niche’, it is also expanding its digital and business-to-business capabilities in line with client and consumer demands.
Greg Clark, managing director at Über, said: “We are very excited to welcome Public Image into the Über family.
“We have been respectful rivals for many years, and have both been top of the regional agency list for the past 14 years, competing for - and often working on - the same clients.
“The agency’s retail experience mirrors our own and helps us offer our clients an unparalleled level of experience outside the network agencies.
“In addition to this synergy, Public’s portfolio of work will significantly boost our B2B credentials, and the move will help us solidify our ‘best outside of London’ stance.”
