Newcastle's TSG Ltd one of 11 worldwide businesses on Microsoft programme
Local technology solutions company, TSG Ltd has been announced as one of 11 global businesses to become a charter member of Microsoft’s SharePoint Business Applications Partner Program.
TSG Ltd is said to be the only UK-based partner involved.
The news follows the announcement of the business having increased the number of Microsoft Gold competencies it held to nine accreditations.
The Microsoft programme is designed to help businesses digitally transform through the use of technology, in particular SharePoint and its supporting apps: ‘intelligent business applications’.
Dave Rawes, director of Microsoft Solutions at TSG, said: “This is further evidence that we’re a standout Microsoft partner, in addition to our 9 Gold competencies and the seats we’ve held on Microsoft’s Global Advisory Council.
“We’re one of the most comprehensive Microsoft business partners not only in the UK but in the world, with the ability to manage a customer’s entire IT estate using Microsoft solutions.
“We’re delighted that we’ve been progressing at the same pace and in the same way as Microsoft. Our inclusion in this programme is largely thanks to what was once our SharePoint team, which is now the Office 365 Productivity team.
“The team has adapted from traditional SharePoint projects to embrace the whole Office 365 suite in order to create such innovative solutions.”
One case study for the programme included in the application was with H. Malone & Sons, an established, family-owned Gosforth-based mechanical services contractor.
H. Malone & Sons had undertaken a project auditing over 2,000 properties on the iconic Byker Wall to assess the heating and domestic water systems in the homes.
The business had Office 365 in place and chose to leverage its investment in the application suite in the Byker Wall project.
TSG implemented a solution that allowed H. Malone & Sons to manage the entire process using Office 365 including an app builder, workflow automation tool, SharePoint and a data visualisation dashboard to evaluate the project.
Rawes added: “This is a great North East success story. Newcastle is at the forefront of a digital revolution in the UK with the highest concentration of tech start-ups and a Digital and Smart Cities initiative through NE1.
“We want businesses to know that the North East is a great place to do business; especially for the digitally-literate generation of companies.”
