Northumbrian Water volunteers make litter pickers’ day
One group of volunteers surprised another in Newbiggin as part of a special celebration of Customer Service Week.
Northumbrian Water’s Make my day campaign marks the week (October 1 to 5) by delivering surprises to customers and community organisations.
Earlier in the year, the water company asked its customers and employees to nominate those who deserved a surprise, or a good deed.
Newbigger Litter Pickers, a dedicated team of volunteers who help to keep the area looking beautiful, were nominated and the Make my day judging panel selected them to be supported.
The group of volunteers from Northumbrian Water joined the litter pickers to help them out and also donated a selection of items to help them with their ongoing activity.
