London, 9 October 2018: Spreadshirt has promoted Bettina Sutter from within to Global Director of Product. This means half of all senior roles at the ecommerce firm are filled by women. Prior to Spreadshirt, Sutter was Senior Product Manager at Skype in London.

Together with her 17-person team, Sutter will continue to strengthen the company’s customer orientation and strategically expand its product portfolio. She is responsible for three areas within the company; Product Management, Design and User Research. Her focus is to further advance the user-friendliness and functionality of the Spreadshirt platform. Sutter reports directly to Guido Laures, CTO.

“With Bettina we have found the ideal candidate to advance the services and features of the Spreadshirt platform,” explains Guido Laures, CTO at Spreadshirt. “Our goal is to develop new solutions based on customer knowledge and innovative technologies that inspire our customers and partners alike,” continues Laures.

In more than 18 years of professional experience, the mathematician has already held many roles. In 2014, Sutter joined Spreadshirt as Senior Product Owner. In this position she drove the mobile development of the Spreadshirt marketplace forward. Previously, at Skype, she was in charge of the transformation of the Skype interface into a broad communication tool. Sutter also worked for five years as Lead Program Manager at the international software and hardware manufacturer Microsoft in Redmond (USA). There she was mainly responsible for the introduction of important features of the MSN Messenger. Bettina Sutter succeeds Anushka Jayawardana, who is leaving to develop new challenges.

One of Sutter’s first challenges is to fill two positions in her team. Spreadshirt is looking for (Senior) Product Owners.
