DELIGHT AS GLOUCESTER SITE MANAGER SELECTED FOR REGIONAL AWARD

A site manager from a Gloucester housing development has been recognised for his outstanding service after being named winner of a regional Site Manager of of the Year award.

Mike Penn received the reward from Persimmon Homes South Midlands after seeing off competition from across the company’s 14 regional developments.

The 29-year-old joined the Persimmon Homes South Midlands team in January 2015 and is currently based at the Horsbere Mews development in Gloucester.

Mike said: “It always nice to be recognised for your achievements. Horsbere Mews has proved to be a popular development with buyers in the area and it has been a great site to work on.

“I’m an avid rugby player. I played professionally for Worcester Warriors for five years and then moved on to Edinburgh for one season. I returned to the Midlands and am now into my sixth year with Birmingham Moseley.

“In sport teamwork is everything. I like to think those values are reflected in my work and the way I run my site.

“For me, we’re not just building houses but homes and I and work with the necessary care and attention to reflect this.”

Horsbere Mews is located off Longford Lane and provides a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes.

Carol Selway, sales director for Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said: “Mike continues to delight his customers with the outstanding quality he and the team consistently produce.

“We’ve had excellent feedback from customers and its lovely to see a new community coming together at Horsbere Mews.

“We’re delighted to be able to recognise Mike’s achievements with this award.”
