Russells' Quiz Will See Fundraising Reach Sky High
Russell Roof Tiles’ fantastic year of fundraising looks set to continue as the team prepare to get quizzical for the leading roof tile manufacturers’ Big Quiz next month.
Competitive quizzing, a special raffle and delicious food and drink will be on the agenda, as teams of four battle it out to be crowned ultimate champion at the annual charity event, on 15th November at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton on Trent. The company is calling all keen quizzers to come and get involved.
With two sites in Burton on Trent and a further site in Lochmaben, Scotland, Russell Roof Tiles quiz night last year was a huge success with 48 teams joining together to raise a remarkable £8,850 for charity.
Now in its second year, Russell Roof Tiles hopes that this year’s event will raise even more money for its Community Fund – a special pot which has already benefitted local charities and community organisations benefit, including Nith Inshore Rescue, Dumfries and Galloway Blood Bikes, Shropshire.Staffordshire.Cheshire Blood Bikes and Mona C Allotments..
The Community Fund has already seen staff at Russell Roof Tiles cook, golf and volunteer their way to raise an impressive £15k this year so far.
Andrew Hayward, Managing Director at Russell Roof Tiles, said: “We launched our Community Fund to ensure that a number of charities and groups within the community received a share of our fundraising pot, to benefit the great work they are doing in our local area. Events like the quiz helps us raise these vital funds.
“Russell Roof Tiles’ Big Quiz was a great success last year, as teams came together to enjoy a fun evening of quizzes with our suppliers, customers, family and friends. This year, we want the evening to be even bigger and better event, so we are pulling out all the stops.”
Having raised £63,000 for a variety of charities since 2015, Russell Roof Tiles has hosted a number of charity events from Strictly Come Dancing style competitions to family fun days in order to raise money for local good causes charities. The roof tile manufacturer has always been dedicated to supporting local organisations in the community.
