Growing Yorkshire law firm advises on deals worth £80m
Andrew Jackson Solicitors acted on three deals with a combined value of almost £80m at its York office last month.
The law firm advised on a vendor-initiated management buyout at an engineering company in the West Midlands and the acquisition of an undisclosed business.
Its also acted for student accommodation provider Kexgill Group on a £60m University Quarter housing project in Hull.
Corporate partners Philip Ashworth and Matthew Smith, and property partner Helen Mellors, led on the three transactions respectively with assistance from newly appointed solicitor Grace Moreton.
Philip said: “Our team has worked with all three clients for many years and, in the case of Kexgill, the client relationship spans over 25 years, so it’s particularly rewarding to see these well-established businesses go from strength to strength.
“We were delighted to rise to the challenge and successfully complete all three transactions within the space of a week.”
Kexgill Group MD Richard Stott commented: “In such times of exciting growth for Kexgill, both regionally and nationally, it’s vital to know that our legal interests are in safe hands.
“Philip and the Andrew Jackson team work as an extension of our own, and have a solid knowledge of our particular requirements and commercial objectives.”
