Last Night Ltd purchase stake in up-and-coming fashion retailer

A local urban street fashion brand is now worth more than £140k after attracting fresh, new investment.

SEEK Attire has recently received a cash injection of £35,000 after 25 per cent of the company was bought by a local investor. The fresh boost of capital will go towards developing the business and take it to the next level as it looks to attract new brands to collaborate with the growing fashion company. As a result of the recent investment the company, which initially started operating out of the owners bedroom, is now valued at £140,000.

The stake in the fashion retailer, who stocks a variety of brands including their own clothing line, was purchased by Last Night Ltd, who is the parent company of the industry-leading stag and hen organiser Last Night of Freedom.

Scott McAlpine, managing director of SEEK Attire, said: “I’m so happy to be able to announce the recent investment in SEEK Attire. What started out as an idea in my bedroom has now become a lot more than what I ever expected it to be in such a short space of time. The recent investment will now enable me to really develop the business and hopefully attract new brands to work with, as well as being able to develop my own ideas when it comes to urban street fashion.”

“However, it is so much more than just the financial benefits that comes with this investment. Having Matt on board enables me to have an experienced businessman as part of the team here at SEEK Attire; his knowledge in business alone is a huge asset. He has been in business for over 20 years and, like me, it all started from working out of his bedroom. He has grown his company into what it is today and that’s exactly where I want to be in the future.”

The company, currently based in Gateshead, was founded after Scott found a gap in the market that he felt he could fill. He now stocks more than 30 brands such as Gym King and Fresh Couture.

I have known Scott for a number of years now and he has continued to impress when it comes to growing his company. When he told me, he was looking for an investor to help take SEEK go to the next level it was a no-brainer for me.”
