StateZero Labs launches dedicated Blockchain Lab: offers £50,000 equity-free funding

StateZero Labs, the world’s first dedicated Blockchain Lab for startups, will be opening its doors to six selected startups as part of its first cohort in January 2019.

Startups selected to be in the first cohort will each receive up to £50,000 in the form of an equity free grant, cost-free office space, mentoring and one-to-one technical support from world-class blockchain developers to learn how to utilise StateZero Labs’ dedicated PLUG blockchain technology.

Tazz Gault, Director and Co-Founder of StateZero Labs, said: “We’re committed to changing the face of early stage investing by putting startup founders first. We’re giving away £50,000 with absolutely no strings attached, so our founders can focus on building world-beating solutions for the future.

“We’re not looking for ideas revolving around cryptocurrencies, but for people with ideas to tackle real problems. Whether it’s creating transparency in the supply chain to ensure medicines or luxury goods are genuine, or combatting the devastating impact of fast fashion by ensuring the provenance of ethically sourced materials, we want to hear from you.”

The program is designed to arm entrepreneurs with the capital, tools and advice to build meaningful companies with global impact. The three-month programme has been created to offer founders the most powerful conditions to thrive.

Startups wishing to apply must provide a unique, quality blockchain application (cryptocurrencies excluded), a team of at least two members, there’s a substantial market opportunity, and agree to use PLUG technology, a proven framework to build production ready blockchain systems for practical application.
