Newcastle Salon named winner at Professional Beauty Regional Awards

All About You-Urban Retreat Best In Region

The brightest names in spa and beauty were recognised at this year’s Professional Beauty Regional Awards this month, with Newcastle’s All About You – Urban Retreat, being named as the North East Boutique Salon of the Year, sponsored by Elemis.

Awards were handed out to the most outstanding spas and salons in the country at a black-tie dinner with over 400 guests attending.

All About You – Urban Retreat collected the title of North East Boutique of the Year, beating off stiff competition from others in the region.

The salon is a hidden gem in the city centre and is the perfect environment to relax with friends, enjoying a glass of fizz and a whole host of treatments. The treatments are personalised and include facials, massages, manicures, pedicures and a range of body treatments. All products are from high end leading brands such as ELEMIS, Jessica, Delilah and Lycon.

Having only been launched just over a year ago, this is a huge accolade for the team and is part of the jigsaw of the growth plan for the salon that now employs three people already. Accepting their award, Elaine Beattie, owner of All About You - Urban Retreat, said, “It’s an amazing feeling to have won and I’m astounded. We have worked hard and in our first year we have smashed targets set for ourselves, attracting an impressive clientele. “I want to thank my family; this time four years ago I lost my dad and this win is because of him and the belief he had in me. It’s such a special award. I’d also like to thank my team - they’re simply fantastic.” The Professional Beauty Regional Awards celebrate those beauty providers who go above and beyond the call of duty in terms of professionalism, skill and customer service within their region.

Commenting on the awards, Professional Beauty Editor Eve Oxberry said, “The beauty and spa industry is developing into an increasingly powerful one. UK consumers spent £7.6 billion on professional beauty treatments last year, and when you add retail sales into that figure, the beauty and spa industry is among the most important to the British economy today.

Congratulations to all of tonight’s winners, whose exceptional customer care and treatment delivery have an enormous impact, not only on the way their clients look, but how they feel, both physically and mentally.“
