Jeffersons Brewery secures £10k funding from Liberis' business competition
Liberis, a supposed alternative funding provider, has announced the winner of its first Boost Your Business competition.
Liberis launched this competition to support and fund businesses who need to strategise for changing business rates and the ever-continuous evolution of consumer behaviour.
Jeffersons Brewery was awarded the prize of £10k. Owned and founded by brothers George and Freddie Jefferies, this sum will allow the pair to grow their business.
The two brothers operate out of a hand-built brewery in Barnes - one of the smallest commercial breweries in London. They plan to use the cash injection to expand and open their own taproom.
Rob Straathof, CEO of Liberis, said: “Our Boost Your Business competition has been an exciting event for the Liberis team this summer, introducing us to hundreds of brilliant new brands and innovative young companies.
“I’d like to congratulate our winners, Jeffersons Brewery on an incredibly worthy win! We’re delighted to play a part in supporting your growth.”
SMEs already contribute more than £200bn a year to the UK economy, therefore supporting small businesses such as this brewery is vital for continued growth on a much larger scale.
Liberis is excited to assist Jeffersons on its mission to continue creating unique beers inspired by a global selection of hops.
George Jefferies, co-founder and director of Jeffersons Brewery, added: “Since gaining funding from Liberis, we have been given the opportunity to take a giant step forward with the business by developing our own taproom and add an extra revenue stream.
“This in turn will allow us to work with Liberis and use their services in the near future, something that we are very keen to do to assist with our growth goals. We cannot thank them enough!”
