Software company streamGo establishes new Sunderland base

A tech firm that develops webinar and webcast platforms for international businesses like Sony and Pfizer has cemented its growth plans with a new base in Sunderland.

Software company streamGo has relocated to larger premises at Washington Business Centre – its third move in three years to accommodate an expanding team.

Founded in Newcastle, the firm works with companies to build and remotely manage communications platforms on their behalf.

streamGo provides a software-as-a-service offering, through which it teaches businesses how to use the software and offers remote assistance.

The company’s new base is on Sunderland Enterprise Park, off Wessington Way.

Founder Richard Lee said: “It’s been an amazing year for the company and we’re surprised but delighted to be on the move again due to the growth of the company and the need for even bigger premises.

“But we’re ecstatic to have found premises still within the city.”

He added: “Not only will the move provide us with the space needed to take on new staff but it will also help us bring new products and services to market as we continue to increase our offering.”

Sunderland City Council provided support to streamGo on the relocation, marketing and enhancing its product offering.

Cllr Graeme Miller, council Leader, commented: “We are delighted to have been able to attract streamGo to the city and to continue supporting the company to develop and flourish.

“Washington Business Centre has played a key role in the in helping to accelerate the company’s growth, meaning they can secure their own premises, still within the city, as part of their expansion plans.”

Washington Business Centre spans 56,000 sq ft in the heart of the North East Low Carbon Enterprise Zone, at the entrance to Turbine Business Park.
