West Yorkshire glass manufacturer invests £75,000 in facilities to service growing rum market
Stölzle Glass Group, a leading European glass manufacturer based in Knottingley, has invested £75,000 in mould equipment at its local production facility to launch a new range of bottles aimed at the burgeoning rum market. The Prestige Standards range has launched this month and caters for start ups who may not have the capital for fully bespoke bottles but still want their glassware to feel high quality.
The launch comes as a result of Stölzle finding an opportunity in the rum sector for startups to make their mark ahead of the expected boom in interest for the spirit over the next couple of years.
Gary Steen, UK Sales Director at Stölzle, commented: “Our last major investment in facilities and machinery was in 2016 but this year is setting the scene for the future. The Standards launch has seen us capitalise on a shift in trends and enable us to invest further in our local site, and next year we have multimillion pound plans to further develop our machinery to continue servicing our growing market with the highest quality products.”
