Honour Health shortlisted for national dentistry award
A leading aesthetic dental and skin clinic in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, is preparing to represent the North East at a prestigious national awards ceremony.
Honour Health, based on Osborne Road, is a finalist in the category of Best Practice at The Dentistry Awards 2018 – one of the most important dates in the dental industry’s calendar.
This is the profession’s biggest celebration, which has been recognising excellence in the UK and Irish dentistry for more than a decade.
As part of Honour Health’s entry for the Best Practice category, the team provided examples of clinical excellence, marketing literature, team training and development information, photos and videos of the practice, evidence of team leadership and happiness, evidence of uniqueness in the practice, how they go beyond the regular duty of care, how they connect with the local community, and patient testimonials.
The winning practice will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at The Athena in Leicester on November 23.
Honour Health’s finalist status in the category of Best Practice is to be announced to the dental profession in Dentistry Magazine, and is to be published on www.thedentistryawards.com.
Honour Health, owned by principal dentist Mr Onkar Dhanoya, has three practices - in Jesmond, Ponteland and Stanley. Last year, the practice changed its name from Osborne Dental, rebranding as Honour Health to better reflect the advanced range of aesthetic dental and skin treatments on offer. The word ‘health’ also highlights the team’s mission, which is to focus on the prevention of dental disease, and to improve patients’ health and wellbeing across the North East.
Mr Dhanoya said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted as a finalist for Best Practice at The Dentistry Awards 2018. This is a huge achievement for our team and we’re delighted to have been recognised for our passion for good health and our dedication to our patients’ care. We’re really looking forward to representing the region at the awards ceremony in Leicester.”
The awards website states: “The Dentistry Awards exist to recognise progress, effort and enterprise in general practice dentistry. The individuals and team members shortlisted represent the rising standards in the UK and Irish dentistry and the tremendous efforts to provide a higher calibre of patient experience.”
Honour Health provides comprehensive dental health assessments, teeth whitening, veneers, dental implants and orthodontic treatments including Invisalign. Skin treatments include laser hair removal, dermal fillers, muscle relaxants, plasma facials, chemical peels and e-dermastamp.
The practice is also a former winner of the British Dental Association (BDA) Good Practice Scheme: Practice of the Year award.
