‘Tremendous results’ for entrepreneurial duo’s new hybrid property agency

Two former high street estate agents who launched a hybrid agency in the summer are celebrating after receiving hundreds of instructions within five months’ trading.

Agent & Homes, set up in June, has already taken on more than 40 sales and 200 lettings instructions.

Operating across the prime Central London and West London markets, the company is aiming to plug the gap between costlier high street operations and low-fee online agents.

Agent & Homes now comprises a 10-strong team of entrepreneurial agents, who work across a swathe of London postcodes and receive 90% of commission fees, with the remaining 10% invested into the business’ support services.

The agency was founded by property duo Rollo Miles, previously of London agency brands Marsh & Parsons and John D Wood, and Bob Crowley, whose background includes managerial roles at Marsh & Parsons, John D Wood and proptech firm Nested.

Rollo said: “It’s an exciting time for us here at Agent & Homes. Estate agency is changing to suit the needs of consumers, but great customer service and genuine local knowledge will always remain at the heart of what we do and what customers deserve.

“We’ve had some tremendous results and quick growth since launching earlier this year and we’re now looking to add to our growing team of experienced agents across the capital.”

He added: “We also have plans to expand beyond London.”

Bob Crowley commented: “Like most agents who have worked on the high street in the past, we’re of the opinion that a high street presence and shop front is no longer needed for a modern agency to be successful.

“This allows us to invest more money into marketing and supporting our agents with everything they need to hit the ground running. It also means we can save our clients money as we do not have to charge the high fees that high street operators do.”

Agent & Homes is headquartered in Notting Hill.

Speaking further, Rollo said: “Our aim is to provide a modern alternative which allows clients to work with a passionate and knowledgeable property expert for the long-term.”
