Leeds-based Nexus Vehicle Rental revs up with two millionth booking
Tech-driven business mobility provider Nexus Vehicle Rental is celebrating its two millionth booking.
The milestone means that in less than two decades, the Leeds-based company’s vehicles have driven over 750 million miles – the equivalent of driving to the sun and back four times.
Founded in 1999, tody Nexus offers access to 550,000 vehicles across 2,000 locations. The company has developed its own rental booking platform, IRIS, to provide a complete vehicle mobility solution for businesses.
Nexus has secured more than 200 customers in the last 18 months, and in June this year recorded a record rental day with 11,500 vehicles out on rent on a single day.
Its two millionth booking was with stairlift business Acorn Stairlifts, whose fleet administrator Jolene Shaw requested a VW Golf.
Nexus Vehicle Rental CEO David Brennan said: “It’s always nice to surpass the targets you set as a business but we never could have anticipated reaching our milestone two millionth booking in the amount of time we have.
“Consumption habits are changing and we are seeing more and more customers seeking flexible vehicle solutions such as rental to supplement their mobility mix.”
He added: “By continuing to invest in our technology to meet customer demand, we are confident we can further accelerate our booking and customer numbers.”
Acorn Stairlifts’ Jolene Shaw, who was presented with a celebratory bottle of champaign to mark the milestone, commented: “We pleased to have helped Nexus reach its two millionth booking milestone and appreciate the gift for doing so.
“I’m confident the business will go from strength to strength and we look forward to partnering with them for the long-term.”
