Lettings division awarded medal in prestigious ratings guide

Dacre, Son & Hartley’s specialist lettings division has been recognised as one of the top three in the Yorkshire & Humberside region in the Best Estate Agent Guide, which is run by the Property Academy.

Taking a bronze medal in the ‘Best Estate Agent Guide Awards’ medium sized agency category, Dacre, Son & Hartley is now included in the prestigious ‘Best Estate Agent Guide 2019’. The lettings division was judged on how well properties are marketed and perform on Rightmove, the standard of the customer experience, market share and the time frame for delivery of results.

The Property Academy, in conjunction with Rightmove conducted an in-depth analysis of performance data for 25,000 branches over a 6-month period and also carried out 50,000 mystery shops on over 1 million different properties - the biggest mystery shopping review process ever undertaken of the property industry.

There are approximately 15,000 estate agency companies in the UK, and the Property Academy used it analysis, to draw up a shortlist of agents comprising the top 5%. From those, they identified the best single branch, ‘small’ (2-5 branch), ‘medium’ size (6-20 branch) and ‘large’ (21+ branches) agencies based on their performance across all of their branches. These companies were then awarded Gold, Silver, Bronze, Finalist and Shortlist status – depending on how they compared to similar size companies in their region.

Emma Kerrywood, who joined Dacres to head up its letting division just over a year ago said: “Our team of 18 lettings professionals operate across all 20 of our offices and the award is a credit to each and every one them. We pride ourselves on a high standard of service and this award acknowledges this, and also highlights how successfully we market and let our properties.”

Dacre, Son & Hartley manages a portfolio of more than 600 properties and currently has numerous properties available to let ranging in price from £375 to over £1,500 per calendar month. The property styles vary widely, from smart apartments and country cottages, to urban family homes and rural estates.
