Statiflo expands into South America

Engineering company Statiflo is accelerating its overseas expansion with its first business partners in South America.

Statiflo, which has its headquarters in Macclesfield, Cheshire, has recruited partners in Brazil, Chile and Peru.

The addition of Planalto Hidrotecnologia in Brazil, Serimport in Peru and Soltex Chile means Statiflo now has business partners in more than 40 countries.

Statiflo designs and distributes static mixers and other chemical process equipment for use in the water and wastewater treatment sector, oil and gas, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper industries.

The company’s business partners distribute its products and provide advice and support to customers. The three new partners will serve clients across South America.

Managing director Gareth Fry said South America holds great potential for Statiflo amid huge spending on infrastructure projects.

He said: “Peru is one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, while Brazil has the second largest manufacturing sector across the Americas.

“Chile has a large mining industry which uses a lot of water. As a result, there are many desalination schemes which have a requirement for our static mixers.

“We are already receiving orders through our new business partners and are confident of achieving great success in South America, which offers new routes to market as we prepare for life after Brexit.

“As a proven quality supplier we are in a position to offer true expertise in the region.

“Our new partners have excellent contacts and knowledge of a variety of process industries, so they are ideally-placed to help us realise our growth objectives.”
