UK-based professional services marketplace, MeasureMatch, wins DMEXCO & Unilever Foundry Startup Hatch 2018
UK startup, MeasureMatch, the global online platform providing on-demand access to over 2,000 independent technology, data and analytics professionals, has been named the winner of the DMEXCO & Unilever Foundry Startup Hatch 2018.
At the prestigious technology and digital event, DMEXCO, which attracted around 50,000 attendees, the DMEXCO & Unilever Foundry Startup Hatch showcased the very best entrepreneurs, who had the opportunity to pitch their cutting-edge innovations live to a panel of industry experts, visiting investors, potential partners and new customers for the chance to win €15,000 to support their new enterprise.
At the semi-final stage, MeasureMatch, was up against 20 other startups, then reduced to a final four. With all companies proposing strong business models and standout inventions across the AI, data and consumer marketing insight fields, MeasureMatch founder and CEO, James Sandoval took to the stage to execute a five-minute business pitch to the panel of esteemed judges.
After rigorous debate, MeasureMatch scooped the €15,000 prize fund sponsored by Unilever Foundry to further accelerate the growth of the business. Announced by Richard Jerrett of Unilever Foundry, MeasureMatch won based on a business model that successfully meets the current demands of a growing industry.
Richard explained: “MeasureMatch has an extremely promising business proposition, tapping into the need for organisations today to stay nimble and competitive by sourcing expert talent from anywhere in the world and in a variety of ways that fall outside the traditional employment method. The globalisation of both talent and technology is now freeing up companies so they can experiment in new ways to fill critical skills gaps while staying lean. MeasureMatch won the judges over by demonstrating how its tech could match experts with clients very quickly and the quality of these experts is assured through a thorough vetting process.”
On the win, James added: “It’s an honour to be supported by Unilever Foundry. We are revolutionising the way organisations get important software systems, data engineering and data science work done, via a highly-skilled, distributed, on-demand workforce that can create substantive business value from anywhere.
“Several global trends are reshaping all industries. Workers want to work more flexibly and a growing number are leaving the traditional workforce for independent pursuits. Everything is going on-demand, and now professional services are, too. Organisations need to operate more fluidly, and software, data management and data engineering skills are increasingly required for businesses globally to compete successfully.”
Demand for knowledge is growing around the world as new technologies require new skills at a pace many businesses are struggling to keep up with. That’s where MeasureMatch fills the void; finding the right people for the right project at the right time. The talent is out there.“
The MeasureMatch platform provides access to over 2,000 consultants and small to mid-sized agencies across over 40 countries that specialise in tech, data and analytics solutions engineering, all available for flexible, short-term contracts.
With over 20 years of experience in the digital marketing services, marketing technology and analytics consulting industries, James explains: “Our vision is big. We’re making it easier for both buyers and sellers of the most important professional services categories - software products & systems, data management and analytics - to get important work done.”
