Sunderland creatives target European growth on trade mission to Germany
A creative agency based in Sunderland is representing the North East’s booming creative sector on a trade mission to Germany.
IGNIFI has been chosen by the Department for International Trade (DIT) to attend the world’s largest meeting of medical organisations in Dusseldorf this week.
At Medica, the healthcare specialist agency will network alongside over 120,000 prospective health sector partners from business, academia and politics.
IGNIFI’s presence is part of the government’s Northern Powerhouse initiative, designed to showcase investment opportunities in the North East.
The North as a whole has seen its life sciences economy outpace the UK average. It grew in value by 48% last year, IGNIFI said, while more than 750 new life sciences companies started up between Sheffield and the Scottish border.
IGNIFI’s managing director, Dave Watson, commented: “As some of our clients rank in the top 20 pharmaceutical companies globally, we’re already trading successfully in Europe and beyond. But no UK business is immune from Brexit jitters.
“This trade mission is a precious opportunity for us to reinforce our European roots and demonstrate the standard of creative work and marketing strategy coming out of the North East of England.”
Medica is taking place November 12-15.
