'Dynamic' bridal retailer signs for flagship Baker Street store
Bridal retailer WED2B has signed a deal for a new store in Marylebone.
The company is setting up a flagship store at 9 Baker Street, which it acquired from floor tile company Solus Ceramics.
Founded in 2009, WED2B now operates 37 stores across the UK and a design studio in Milton Keynes.
It is expanding overseas in the coming months, with three shops due to open in Belgium and the Netherlands by the end of the year.
Real estate advisory firm Colliers International’s central London retail agency team acted for WED2B on the Baker Street deal, which is an assignment of lease expiring in 2022.
Peter Flint, associate director at Colliers, said: “WED2B is a dynamic brand that mixes strong online content with bricks and mortar retail to create the full customer experience.
“It has quickly built a well-established reputation in the bridal and occasion wear sector and is backed by some of the industry’s key investors.”
He added: “This exciting new Central London venture will allow WED2B to benefit from the footfall generated by the fast-paced retail offering in the area.”
WED2B is backed by British financier Javad Marandi, whose investments include proprietorship of Oxfordshire-based hotel and spa Soho Farmhouse and ownership of Sofitel Brussels.
Advisory firm KLM acted for Solus Ceramics on the deal.
