Coffee shop owned by Arsenal’s Mesut Özil expands in West London
Arsenal player Mesut Özil has expanded his coffee shop business with a new site in West London.
The midfielder’s company, 39 Steps Coffee Haus, is establishing a second location in the capital at 130 Brompton Road in Knightsbridge.
Carphone Warehouse let the space to 39 Steps by way of an assignment of the existing lease, which expires in October 2024 at a passing annual rent of £127.5k.
39 Steps Coffee Haus launched its first London store in Soho back in January.
The central London retail agency team at real estate advisory firm Colliers International acted for Carphone Warehouse on the deal.
Peter Flint, the team’s associate director, said: “This deal is a mutually beneficial arrangement for both Carphone Warehouse and 39 Steps.
“While this move feeds into Carphone Warehouse’s wider London portfolio strategy, for 39 Steps the new location is an exciting step for the brand’s growth and development in the capital.”
Retail property advisors Harper Dennis Hobbs acted for 39 Steps.
