IF Agency together with top agencies and MPA showcase the breadth of opportunity within the creative industry in Manchester

The MPA, the not for profit association for the Creative, Digital and Media industry in Manchester, held its first one-day showcase the “Native Creatives” on Wednesday 14th November at UKFast in Manchester.

Native Creatives aims to bring greater diversity into the Manchester industry by inspiring students, graduates and returners with the opportunities within creative Manchester businesses.

The format of the day included a variety of sessions presented by industry experts across the creative spectrum from top agencies in Manchester. Attendees experienced inspirational content as well as mentoring, guidance, job matching and one to ones with likely candidates and businesses.

MPA Chair and Managing Director at IF agency Christian James explained: “This is a fantastic industry first by the MPA that will support Manchester’s whole Creative, Digital and Media sector by attracting and retaining talent for years to come. We’ve been blown away by the level of response and interest from 6th Forms, Colleges and Universities in the region and shows a huge level of interest for roles in our amazing sector.”

IF Agency’s Creative Director Jo Whiteley and Client Services Director Stuart Hornby collaborated with a number of other creatives agencies including BJL, McCann Manchester and TBWA to deliver these inspirational sessions.

Jo explained “Our sessions bring to life what a creative agency does. What it’s really like to work in an agency, the different job roles that contribute to the overall creative agency service and how to get started with a career in the creative sector. Our goal is for attendees to leave excited and compelled to embark on a career in the creative industry in the North West.”
