Newcastle property agency Naylors grows management portfolio 20%
Newcastle-based commercial property agency Naylors has expanded its management portfolio by more than 20% with a raft of new instructions.
The firm’s property management department was appointed on the next phase of development at Newcastle Helix, the £350m urban development scheme spanning 24 acres in the city centre.
Due for completion in the next few days, The Biosphere will provide 90,000 sq ft of office and laboratory space geared towards life sciences businesses.
Naylors was appointed through a service agreement between building consultancy Aura and Newcastle City Council. As part of the instruction, its office agency team is covering the marketing and letting of the new accommodation.
Angus White, managing director at Naylors, said of the contract: “We are delighted to be appointed as managing agent for The Biosphere which will be the first bespoke commercial offer to the life science sector, making it a major asset for the region.”
Other contracts driving the firm’s management portfolio include a deal to manage The Beacon, a social enterprise business centre with around 20 occupiers on the West Road in Newcastle; an instruction from Kans and Kandy Group to manage retail and leisure premises in Fenham; and an agreement with Teesside-based Cables Properties for property management and company secretarial services on six commercial properties.
Outside its North East heartland, Naylors is managing commercial instructions in Keswick, Leeds and Manchester.
